Goran Spirov is radiologist at the University Institute of Positron Emission Tomography. He has 5 years of experience in the field of general radiology. In 2019 he joined our team at the Institute and currently his professional and scientific interest is imaging in oncology, including hybrid techniques.
He held several short-term observerships in the field of radiology at Acibadem and Florence Nightingale Hospitals in Istanbul, Turkey, at the University Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA and Kolding Sygehus in Kolding, Denmark.
Currently he is enrolled at Nuclear Medicine Residency Program at the Medical Faculty at University “Ss Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. As PhD candidate at the Medical Faculty at University “Ss Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, he is involved in educational process of undergraduate students and residents in radiology. He is the author and co-author scientific articles in the field of radiology and PET/CT. His current research areas include PET/CT imaging in patients with colon cancer.
Dr. Goran Spirov is member of Macedonian Radiological Association, Macedonian Association of Nuclear Medicine, European Society of Radiology, European Society for Hybrid, Molecular and Translational Imaging and World Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology.
